NAU ATHLETICS & RECREATION COMPLEX INFRASTRUCTURE
NAU's new complex features a 50-meter, 10-lane Olympic-sized pool, and a 10-meter dive tower and dive well, and provides an on-campus home for men’s and women’s tennis teams with six indoor and six outdoor courts. KCS self-performed all earthwork and site utility scopes of work, which included:
· Site preparation including new traffic signals;
· Mass demolition of concrete, asphalt, underground electrical, water line, storm drain, and irrigation;
· 60,000 SF of new concrete installation;
· Construction of over 1,400 LF of curb and gutter;
· Mass earthwork including cut and fill of 75,000 CY of material;
· Installation of new storm drain and sewer manholes;
· Installation of 60-inch precast utility tunnel;
· Installation of 400 LF of water and chilled lines, fire hydrants, and 125 LF of sewer line;
· Installation of underground storm tech chambers and precast utility vaults for 30-inch pipe;
· Relocation of 220 LF of dual 12-inch chilled water line; and
· Lime stabilization of 40,275 CY of existing unsuitable soils
