The renovation and modernization of the 75-year-old existing gallery include all new finishes, museum-grade HVAC system with dehumidification, asbestos abatement, and structural modifications to accommodate the future expansion of the gallery. Designed to house pieces from each of the six Native American groups represented in the Colorado Plateau, the Ethnology Gallery will include an interactive kids’ table and is remaining open and operational throughout construction. Phase II will include 2,000 SF of new finishes including paint, wood flooring, and all new exhibit casework and lighting including integrated AV systems.
