APS SOLDIER'S TRAIL SUBSTATION

This new substation provides power to the surrounding Flagstaff area including future development at Pulliam Airport. Scope of work included construction of a new substation access road; tie-in to existing conduits; 1,165 CY of earthwork cut and fill; installation of 2,029 LF of electrical duct banks, 18 concrete pad foundations, 37 lally column foundations, 4,331 SY of six-inch ABC substation surface, and 1,566 SY of eight-inch ABC access drive; and construction of 781 LF of perimeter CMU wall with stone veneer. KCS self-performed all civil scopes of work and coordinated closely with the City of Flagstaff, ADOT, and Coconino County.
