PAYSON USD PV SYSTEM
KCS rose to the challenge of installing a combined 1.45 MW DC, grid-tied, solar photovoltaic system at three different campus sites in nine weeks. A total of 5,993 photovoltaic modules were installed at an average rate of approximately 300 modules per day. The system utilizes 230 watt Yingli panels and a varied combination of PV Powered Inverters. Structured through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the project successfully delivered a complete turn-key, cost-effective, efficient energy solution to Payson Unified School District. At the time of groundbreaking, this was the largest PV system on a K-12 education campus in the State of Arizona.
