Kinney performed a green demolition of Coconino County’s historic Art Barn. Originally constructed in the early 1900’s and renovated in the 1960’s, the structure was an approximately 4,000 SF wood post and beam barn that included two haylofts and areas for working and retail. The scope of work included demolition, removal and salvage of all building materials and items including historic and non-historic materials, disposal of debris, and conservation, salvage, reuse, and recycling of materials to the maximum extent possible. Kinney worked closely with the County to coordinate the delivery of identified salvage materials to designated local non-profit organizations and arrange for the general public to have an opportunity to purchase the remainder salvage in a public sale process.
