Highlands Fire Stations No. 23 & No. 25

Each station contains dorms, a kitchen, dining and day room, physical conditioning rooms, treatment rooms, locker rooms, crew and captain offices, restrooms, lobby and hallways, and truck bays. Fire Station No. 23 incorporated a high level of green building strategies including a grey water system, motion-activated lighting and daylighting harvesting sensors, natural cotton fiber bat insulation made from 90% post-consumer recycled natural fibers, photovoltaic panels, solar domestic hot water system, and terrazzo-style ground exposed concrete.
