Kinney acted as Prime Civil Contractor for the Havasu Riviera Street & Utility Improvements project in Lake Havasu City. This initiative involved site development that connected two future developments: the Havasu Riviera Arizona State Park and the Havasu Riviera Residential Community.
The scope of work included the installation of over 8,500 feet of 12″ PVC waterline and approximately 355 feet of 12″ DIP water main, along with 13 fire hydrant assemblies. The project also involved the installation of valves, bends, air/vac valves, and other pipeline appurtenances. A hot tap was performed on the existing 27″ CCP water main, and backup power generation systems were installed. Additionally, the project included a sewer lift station with SCADA, an odor control system, and the construction of security and screen walls with gates.
In terms of roadway infrastructure, Kinney installed 31,300 square yards of four-inch asphalt, 11,075 feet of concrete curb and gutter, and conducted sawcutting and pavement removal. The installation of 26,765 square feet of concrete sidewalk was also completed. Drainage improvements included the installation of 293 feet of 18″ HDPE drainage pipe, 255 feet of 24″ HDPE drainage pipe, and various catch basins, riprap, and retaining walls. Additionally, 13 48″ manholes were installed as part of the overall project.
