This project consisted of approximately 61,532 SF of fire, life, safety, and energy efficiency renovations. Building Information Modeling (BIM) was utilized in coordinating the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with the existing structure. The facility was LEED Gold Certified by the USGBC. Green building strategies included: energy-efficient heating, cooling, and window systems, high level of construction waste recycling, use of local materials and labor, and water-conserving plumbing systems.
