Sawmill County Park

Kinney transformed a 2.5 acre, inert dumpsite into a multi-use neighborhood park with environmental sustainability and local art inspiration. The park consists of picnic ramadas, amphitheater, playground equipment, walking trails that connect with the Flagstaff Urban Trail System, art walls, and Willow Bend Environmental Center. Construction began with processing over 8,000 CY of unusable material previously dumped on the site into usable material. Following site grading, Kinney installed underground utilities and storm drainage structures to overcome the bioregional challenge of excavating solid malipai rock.
